Had a nice couple of hours hunkered down in the dunes trying to capture exactly the colours I was seeing in the scene in front of me. This painting was really a reaction against the previous day's painting of a Farmyard scene where I pushed the colours beyond what I was really happy with.
So, it's back to basics with this one just doing my best to be true to the subject. I really recommend anyone interested in landscape painting to do this - to learn to walk before you can run. I also recommend insect repellant.
