Create Wave Shapes
Start by pressing down and dragging the brush along the bottom edge, then release as you go to create the shape of the wave. This technique helps form the natural curve of the wave.
Load the Brush Evenly
Smush the white paint out flat onto the palette and load both sides of the brush to ensure there are no clumps. This helps in achieving smooth, even application.
Add Fine Strips of Paint
Push into the paint to get a nice little ridge on the end of your brush. Then, touch the canvas very lightly and move it along to drag off a very fine strip of paint.
Enhance Realism
Leaving a thin strip of blue underneath the foam strips creates a realistic effect of waves, showing the water beneath the foam.
